MISSION
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) is to transform the lives of children through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring, well-trained volunteers.
AGENCY OVERVIEW
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is a private, nonprofit organization and an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Founded in 1960, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta currently serves more than 2,500 children annually, making it one of the largest affiliated agencies in the United States. The agency serves twelve metropolitan counties, and matches children between the ages of 6-12 with volunteer mentors. Program offerings include: Community-based, Site-based, Hispanic Mentoring Program (HMP), Mentoring Children of Prisoners program (MCOP), Mentoring Academic Partnerships (MAP), and Mentoring Towards College (MTC).
